Reports - New Report
When Reports is initially accessed in any job file by selecting the Reports tab, the Reports - Report dialog is automatically displayed. In the Reports - Report dialog, the user may select one of three options: Create Report (the default), Open Existing Report, or Create Custom Report.
The Report dialog is also available once working in Reports by selecting the New Report command. If an existing report is being replaced with a new report, AGi32 will reconfirm that you wish to delete the current report. This command cannot be reversed with the Undo (Ctrl-z) command. After completing the New Report command, the current report is deleted with all of its associated Viewports, Imageports and drawing entities, and a new or replacement report is loaded according to the properties specified in the Reports - Report dialog.
Create Report (default option)
This method creates a "Dynamic Report." The contents of the Dynamic Report are managed by proxies (placeholders). The proxies are automatically filled with content as available in the AGi32 model.
Report Template - Select the page size and orientation desired. The default paper size is Letter (8.5 x 11 inches). When a report is initially created, all pages are of the same size. Variable page size may be specified in the Report Properties command in the Reports Toolkit.
Report Contents - Specify the types of items that you wish to include:
- Summary: This will include the information specified by clicking on the Summary/Footer button and adding content as appropriate. See the topic Report Summary Information for more information.
- Luminaire Summary: This will include a page with Luminaire Summary schedule.
- Luminaire Images: This will include the luminaire image (if available from Instabase), the luminaire's polar plot (candela curves), and/or the LCS graphic, if selected.
- These schedules may be selected (must have been specified in Model Mode in order to be included in the report): Luminaire Location Summary, Expanded Luminaire Location Summary, Calculation Summary, LPD Area Summary, Room Surface Summary. Each schedule selected will have its own page in the report.
- If selected, Viewports will be included, one for each defined View or Viewpoint in Model Mode, and each on its own page in the report.
- If selected, Render Viewpoints will be included, one page for each defined Viewpoint in Render Mode.
Sub-Elements - Specify a Banner and/or Footer for the report. The Banner will appear on the Summary page. The Footer will appear at the bottom of each page of the report.
- Banner
button - You may select an image to be displayed at the top of each page. An example might be a company logo.
- If the selected banner image is larger than the size of its predetermined proxy (essentially, a placeholder), it will be sized down to fit, while maintaining the image's aspect ratio.
- If the selected banner image is smaller than the size of its predetermined proxy location, the proxy will be sized down to fit the image.
- Footer button - This button opens the Summary/Footer dialog (works the same as the Summary/Footer button described above). From there, you can set the Summary and Footer information. See the topic Report Summary Information for more information.
After making the desired selections, click OK to close the dialog and create the report. (May take a few seconds, depending on the number of elements to be included.)
