The Measure Area command measures the area enclosed by any polygon. The area calculation takes place while the polygon is constructed and is displayed in the coordinate window at the bottom of the AGi32 graphics screen.
- From the Tools
menu choose Measure - Area, or from
the Common toolbar select
. - Locate the first vertex on the polygon with the left mouse button.
- Drag the cursor to another vertex on the polygon and click again. The cumulative area is displayed in the coordinates area in the lower-left corner of the screen.
- Continue in this fashion until the perimeter of the polygon is complete. If the last point is not the same as the first point, AGi32 will assume a last line segment connecting the two in order to calculate the area.
- Right click (or press Enter on keyboard) to terminate the command.
The total area measured is temporarily displayed on the screen near the last point clicked, until the next command is initiated.
