The Toggle Wireframe Overlay command overlays the radiosity wireframe on top of the Radiosity or Shaded view.
The wireframe displays the meshing of the environment surfaces. By analyzing the wireframe overlay, you can analyze how finitely the environment is discretized and whether the mesh needs to be further refined. The wireframe mesh can be modified from Surface Edit (Advanced properties) or by applying adaptive subdivision. It can also be modified by changing the Initial Meshing Variables in Advanced System Settings, but this is not recommended except for advanced users or upon advice from Lighting Analysts.
From the Status Bar select Toggle Wireframe Overlay . The Wireframe Overlay can also be toggled on or off from the Display Properties dialog.
The wireframe color is colorized by default; Patches are outlined in red, Elements in Blue. If the Colorize Patch/Element Wireframe option is unselected in Display Properties, the wireframe is all black. When opening an older file with an RSF, the wireframe will appear all blue. The file will have to be recalculated in order to see the colorized Patch/Element wireframe.
