AGi32 Files and Folders

AGi32 maintains an extensive amount of support data files and folders. Some of these are user accessible and subject to your daily usage patterns. Others contain data that should not be modified outside of the software unless instructed by our technical support staff. For default file locations under user control as well as access to many of the areas below please see the File System tab in the System Settings dialog.

The AGi32 folder contains a number of files and other folders that are important to AGi32's successful function that should not be altered. These files and folders (please see complete listing below) should not be deleted or modified. AGi32 also installs several associated DLL, OCX and TLB files, in common system related areas, in addition to the referenced files and folders. Please contact LAI for assistance with these files.

CAD Import maps created when importing DWG files. Removing these files will result in a loss of the import map should you want to import this file again.

User created AGi32 Job File Templates.

[Program Data Folder]\LuminaireArrangements <Various Files> Factory luminaire arrangements and Custom luminaire arrangements. DO not alter the Factory arrangements. Custom arrangements can be modified and deleted from within the software.
[Program Data Folder]\LuminaireSymbols <Various Files> All luminaire symbols: factory, custom and folders mapped from previous versions. All editing can be done from within the software.

[Program Data Folder]\ObjectLibraries

Factory and/or custom Object Library files. Generally, you do not want to delete any of these files unless you want to remove a particular library

Factory and/or saved Report files. Generally, you do not want to delete any of these files unless you want to remove a particular report file (which should be done from within AGi32)

Collection files managed from within AGi32. You can share these files with other users by copying to the similar folder on their system, or by defining a default location in AGi32's System Settings and copying there.

Photometric files are automatically extracted from any job files not created on your system and stored here.

R-Tables and Roadway Standards - DO NOT ALTER OR DELETE unless instructed to do so.

[Program Data Folder]\Schedules

Factory and/or saved Schedule files. Generally, you do not want to delete any of these files unless you want to remove a particular schedule

Factory and/or saved Source Color files. DO NOT ALTER OR DELETE.

[Program Data Folder]\Symbols

Symbol files DO NOT ALTER OR DELETE unless instructed to do so. Symbol files are managed within AGi32.

[Program Data Folder]\Textures

<Various Files>

Texture image files. Texture files are managed within AGi32. Therefore, there is no need to alter or delete files from this folder unless there is a problem with a particular file.

File System Folders and Files

<User Files>

 

User definable default folder where AGi32 Job Files (.AGI) and backups (.BAK) are stored. If blank, the program uses the last accessed folder.

<Photometric Files>

 

User definable folder where all photometric files are stored. Default location is [Program Data Folder].
<LuminaireCollections>   You can move the default location for luminaire collections to a network drive to share with other users. Enter that information here. Otherwise, the default is: C:\ProgramData\AGI32\PhotometricData_Collections\

<Working Files>

 

This user definable folder is used for temporary working files. User should never delete files from this folder while the program is open! The location of this folder must be on the same drive as the AGi32 program file (generally C:). The automatic file system clean-up manages files in this folder.
