To save a photometric file in EULUMDAT format, select the EULUMDAT File Type from the Save as Type pull-down menu. We recommend saving photometric files under modified names (e.g., 123x) so as not to damage the original file's integrity.
The EULUMDAT Save dialog prompts for additional information from the user. This information is required in the photometric file, although the corresponding values can be zero.
Descriptive Information
Certain lines in the EULUMDAT format are used to hold descriptive information about the luminaire, lamps and comments or notes. PTB will use the appropriate keywords from the IES file to populate these lines.
Each label line can hold up to 78 characters (except for 26b - 24 characters max); blank label lines are also permitted.
Luminous Area Information
This section describes the luminous dimensions of the luminaire in millimeters.
Lamp Information
This section describes the color temperature and CRI of the lamp. By default, PTB assigns zero values to these parameters.
Color Appearance/Color Temperature - Specify a lamp color temperature (e.g. 3500K).
Color Rendering Group / Color Rendering Index - General Color Rendering Index (typically abbreviated CRI) that is presented in CIE Publication 15.2, Colorimetry.
