Browser Choices and Downloading Files
The behavior of the Instabase in terms of download options will be different if you run the Instabase software in your Default browser (Chrome for example), versus the Embedded browser which is a version of Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE). The browser selection is made in the LAI software program when you start the Instabase as shown below (in Photometric Toolbox).
Options using Default Browser
Using the Default browser you have the handy ability to leave the Instabase open while you open and close multiple files in the LAI software just like you might do with any other web experience. However, it does limit the ability to download files directly.
Your options using the default browser are:
1. Download selected files (any number) using a Zip file. You can then unzip on your local system.
2. Drag and drop any file link directly into the LAI software program. This is great for working with a small number of files from your Instabase search.
Options using the Embedded browser
Using the Embedded browser you can easily download a limited number of selected files (25) directly into the LAI software application or to a zip file. Unfortunately, you cannot drag and drop!
