Object labels may be moved from their default location to another location to improve the visual clarity of the presentation. When the label is selected the entire label is moved from one location (Object – Object Label, Project Name, etc.) to another. Object labels should not be moved until after all object modifications have been made, since they return to their default location whenever the object is modified.
- From the Modify
menu select Object-Labels-Move,
or from the Rooms/Objects toolbar select
. Left click on
the pull-down arrow to the right of the Object Labels button to invoke
the secondary menu. Select Move. - Select the label to move.
- Locate the point to move the label from and click the left mouse button. (If using relative coordinates, skip this step.)
- Drag the label to its new location and left click again.
Note: When doing a relative move in the Z direction, the elevation slice (Z coordinate) does note change, i.e., remains at the current Z coordinate after completing the command.
