Modifying Luminaire Aiming Vectors

One or more luminaires' Aiming Vectors may be turned on or off (made visible or not visible) by using one of the Aiming Vector commands. Aiming Vectors can be individually toggled on or off or have their visibility changed using the Single, Window or All options.

Note: These commands only apply to luminaires that have been placed with the Locate And Aim command.

The Aiming Vector-Toggle command allows the aiming vectors of one or several luminaires to be toggled on or off, depending on their current status.

From the Modify menu, select Luminaire - Aiming Vector-Toggle On/Off, or from the Luminaire Toolkit, select $image\luminaire_switch_button.jpg$ .
With the pick box attached to your cursor, select each luminaire whose aiming vector visibility you wish to change. If a luminaire is selected by mistake, simply select it again to reverse the command. Note: you may click on the luminaire or on its aiming vector (if visible) to select it.
When finished selecting, right click. The Command Line will indicate how many have been selected.
Right click again or press Enter on keyboard to complete the command, or press Esc key on keyboard to cancel the command.
Selected aiming vectors that were previously On are now Off, and vice-versa.

Alternatively, luminaire aiming vectors may be turned On or Off with the Aiming Vector-On or Aiming Vector-Off commands and the Single, Window or All options.

To turn the aiming vectors of one or more Luminaires On (or Off):

From the Modify menu, select Luminaire - Aiming Vector-On (or Aiming Vector-Off), or from the Luminaire Toolkit select $image\luminaire_switch_button.jpg$ (or ). Note: The pull-down menu for each of these buttons provides the opportunity to select Single, Window, or All. See next step.
To selectively turn aiming vectors On or Off, click on the pull-down arrow to the right of the button to invoke the secondary (pull-down) menu.
Select Single, Window or All.
Select the luminaires whose aiming vector visibility you wish to change. For Single, click on one or more, one at a time. For Window, draw a "window" by clicking opposite corners of a rectangle that encloses the luminaires you wish to select. To select all luminaires that are present, select All. Note: If Single is selected, you may click on the luminaire or its aiming vector (if visible) to select it. If Window is selected, any luminaires or aiming vectors (if visible) that are included all or partially in the "window" will be selected.
The Command Line will indicate the number of aiming vectors selected. Right click or press Enter on keyboard to complete the command, or Esc key to cancel the command.
