Arraying Drawing Entities
You may duplicate a single drawing entity or selection of drawing entities in a rectangular array. From the Array dialog box specify the number of copies in the X, Y, an Z direction and the spacing between them. Two dimensional arrays are the most common, in this case the number of occurrences in the Z direction is one.
Create A Rectangular Drawing Entity Array
- From the Modify menu select Drawing -Array, or from the Drawing/Schedules Toolbar select .
- To select multiple entities, left click on the pull-down arrow to the right of the button to invoke the secondary menu. Select Window or All.
- Select the entity(ies) to be arrayed.
- Enter the number of copies in each direction.
- Specify the spacing between copies in each direction.
- Click Ok.
Create A Rotated Rectangular Drawing Entity Array
- From the Modify menu select Drawing -Array, or from the Drawing/Schedules Toolbar select .
- To select multiple entities, left click on the pull-down arrow to the right of the button to invoke the secondary menu. Select Window or All.
- Select the entity(ies) to be arrayed.
- Enter the number of copies in each direction.
- Specify the spacing between copies in each direction.
- Enter the angle by which you want to rotate the array counterclockwise from the X axis.
- Click Ok.
