Calculations Polygon Concepts

Calculation Polygons are used to encompass an irregular boundary (like a parking lot) with a uniformly spaced array of calculation points. This command is equivalent to creating a rectangular grid of points and then removing the undesired points to account for an irregular boundary - in one step!

The point placement within the polygon is created parallel to the X-Y axis (points are orthogonally positioned). To position the points aligned along a user defined axis, choose a 3 point calculation grid instead (then remove any extraneous points if necessary).

If Meter Indicator is selected (default condition: not selected), there will be a little line extending from the point showing the direction that the light meter is facing to "collect" light.

Compatibility with earlier versions: Points within a polygon created in version 15 or later will calculate in earlier versions of AGi32, and the meter indicators will be visible. However, if the points are edited, the meter indicators will disappear.
