Save Template to DXF File

Templates can be exported as DXFs from PTB for use in any CAD program. The template is exported at a 1 to 1 scale (i.e., 1 foot in PTB = 1 foot in CAD or 1 meter in PTB = 1 meter in CAD).

The Template is written as a block called "TEMPLATE" in the DXF file. The Template grid lines or tick marks are not included in the block definition.

  1. From the Template Specifications tab, select the DXF button.
  2. In the DXF Filename textbox, enter a filename for the DXF. You can browse for a directory by clicking on the Browse button
  3. Click Ok to save the DXF.
  4. The extension .DXF is automatically appended to the filename.
